ABOUT NANTUCKET
Nantucket has its own idea of beauty.
Grey-shingled estates, wild Atlantic light, open moors that stretch to the sea. An island that earns its reputation every single time.
Nantucket weddings have a character that no mainland venue can replicate. The light off the Atlantic is clean and directional. The estates along Cliff Road and the Great Point lighthouse give you the kind of backdrop that photographers spend careers chasing. The rose-covered cottages of Sconset, the harbor at sunset, the long grass bending in the wind on the Nantucket moors. Every location here has something to offer at the right hour.
I shoot weddings and elopements on Nantucket knowing the island well. The light, the wind, the way the fog comes in off the water in the morning and burns off by noon. Give me your venue and your date and I will show you what it can do.

My approach in Nantucket

Cinematic, unhurried,
always honest.
I don't direct. I observe, anticipate, and disappear into the background until the light and the emotion align. Then I'm exactly where I need to be.
Nantucket light is some of the best on the East Coast. The Atlantic keeps it clean, the open landscape keeps it dramatic. The golden hour here is long and extraordinary in summer. The off-season light is quieter and completely different in the best way. I've shot here through both and I know exactly when and where to position myself to make the island work for your images.
My work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times, Over The Moon, and Magnolia Rouge. I've been named one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.

"We got married on Nantucket and JL treated the island like he owned it. He knew every corner of light. He was always in the right place before we even knew that was the right place."
