I’m Jean-Laurent Gaudy (call me JL), an awarded French destination wedding photographer based in New York. Traveling everywhere on earth to capture couples in love is a big part of my job, and I love it. I meet new people, make new friends, and discover different cultures and traditions and get to tell a new love story every week. In the last few years I’ve been photographing elopements, intimate weddings and engagement sessions all around the world… So why not in Kyoto in Japan?
Among all the amazing stories I’ve been lucky enough to witness, here are a few of my favorites.
Robyn & Jim are true New Yorkers who wanted to escape the city. Have a look at their Fall wedding in the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York.
Meet Lexi & Cheyne. These two Australian love birds fell in love with Italy. Naturally they opted for an intimate destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast with their closest friends and family.
I have so many amazing memories with Pam & Reegy, respectively from Brazil and Haiti. They chose a destination halfway for their intimate wedding: Cartagena, Colombia. These two know how to party. See for yourself!
The perfect runaway of Megan & Matt with their daughter, who eloped in the gorgeous Isle of Skye in Scotland or Lea & David who had a vintage Americana spirit on their Wedding day in the South of France.
Thanks to my amazing clients who allowed me in the intimacy of their couple, trusted my work and my vision, I have been named one of the “30 Rising Stars of wedding photography in 2016” By Rangefinder Magazine.
