Private jungle villas above the Nicoya Peninsula, beachfront ceremonies at sunset on the Pacific coast, intimate elopements deep in the cloud forest near Monteverde. The country offers a range of settings that few destinations can match.
I shoot weddings and elopements here the way the landscape demands: fast when the light moves, patient when it holds. Intimate ceremony for two or a full destination wedding, Costa Rica delivers images with a depth and energy that stay with you.
My approach in Costa Rica

I don't direct. I observe, anticipate, and disappear into the background until the light and the emotion align. Then I'm exactly where I need to be.
Costa Rica light is layered and unpredictable. The Pacific coast golden hour is extraordinary but brief. The jungle creates its own filtered light that shifts by the minute. Rain can arrive in seconds and transform a scene entirely. I've worked in enough of these conditions to plan around them and use them when they show up.
My work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times, Over The Moon, and Magnolia Rouge. I've been named one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.
