Catskills Wedding Photographers

ABOUT THE CATSKILLS

The Catskills have their own sense of time.
Dense forest, open meadows, old barns, mountain light. Two hours from Manhattan and a world apart.

I've shot more weddings in the Catskills than anywhere outside New York City. Foxfire Mountain House, Handsome Hollow, Audrey's Farmhouse, the Southwood Estate, Hutton Brickyards, the floating farmhouse at Catskill Corners. I know these venues room by room, season by season, hour by hour.

The Catskills suit couples who want something real. Not a ballroom and a DJ. A barn with string lights, a ceremony in the woods, a reception where the guests actually dance. I build every timeline around the natural light and the landscape, so whatever you choose, the setting works for you.

My approach in the Catskills

Cinematic, unhurried,
always honest.

I don't direct. I observe, anticipate, and disappear into the background until the light and the emotion align. Then I'm exactly where I need to be.

The Catskills light is specific: flat and soft in the forest, golden and dramatic in open fields, completely different again when the mist comes in off the mountains at dawn. I've worked here through every season and every condition. I know when to move and when to wait.

My work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times, Over The Moon, and Magnolia Rouge. I've been named one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.

AS SEEN IN

"We got married at Foxfire and JL knew every corner of that place better than we did. He found shots we never would have thought to ask for. The photos feel like the day actually felt."
