I've carried a camera through most of my adult life. New places, new light, the face of someone I love. It became the way I pay attention.

I have a daughter named Louise. And she has done something to my sense of time. Sharpened it, maybe. Made me aware, in a way I wasn't before, of how quickly a moment becomes a memory. How little warning it gives.

What I'm after isn't only the perfect frame. But the moment just before it, and the one just after. The unguarded. The unstaged. The thing that only happened once.

I'm not here to direct your day. I'm here to witness it. The glance that crosses a room before a word is spoken. The breath before everything changes. The moment that doesn't have a name but will matter forever. I work at the intersection of documentary and editorial instinct.

Growing up in Paris, with a father passionate about photography, JL cultivated his craft over 3 decades capturing people, events, and nature out of pure personal affection.

Since 2012, he put his photojournalistic approach and artistic compositions at the service of exceptional couples as they celebrate their love.

Ask him for his restaurants in Paris, and you’ll discover another core love of JL.

But his biggest life crush is incontestably his daughter, Louise.
