Fortunate coincidence, nice encounters, improbable opportunities… it is what has been given rhythm to my life these last years. But this time it is the type of change which is really going to move everything deeply. Make a new start, break the routine and the habits. Start all over again in a country in which, for my part, I have only been as a tourist (contrary to my wife who lived there 3 years).
From November we leave and settle down in the United States, in New York, for an indefinite duration. Why the US? Well, once again the unexpected opportunity, and we couldn’t let it go. We’re getting ready slowly, by taking every step at a time before the big jump.
With regards to my activity, well, no surprise, I shall continue to photograph happy people on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, where I will be doing the largest part of my business from now on. But it will not prevent me from returning punctually in Europe and in France, to see my family, my friends and the cute couples who would like to make me participate in their Wedding day! I already have some dates reserved in Europe for 2015, which illustrates that in the end the distance is not really a problem.
On a personal standpoint this new challenge boosts me and inspires me. Meeting new people, evolving in a new space, learning of a culture so close but nevertheless so different… It can be only an amazing experience and we are ready to live it to fully.
