ABOUT LONDON
London does not do ordinary weddings.
Georgian townhouses, private members clubs, riverside gardens, and a city that has been staging celebrations for a thousand years.
London weddings have a particular character. The venues carry history. Claridge's, Shoreditch House, Kensington Palace, the Ned, private estates in Richmond, converted warehouses in Bermondsey. The city gives you a range that almost nowhere else can match, from grand and formal to intimate and unconventional.
I've shot weddings across London, and I know what each part of the city offers. The soft overcast light that makes portraits extraordinary. The way certain streets in Notting Hill look at golden hour. The quiet of a private garden in Chelsea that no one outside the city knows exists. Give me your venue and I will show you what it is capable of.
My approach in London

Cinematic, unhurried,
always honest.
I don't direct. I observe, anticipate, and disappear into the background until the light and the emotion align. Then I'm exactly where I need to be.
London light is famous for a reason. The overcast sky that photographers elsewhere avoid is exactly what makes portraits here so clean. The brief windows of winter sun through a tall sash window. The blue hour over the Thames that lasts just long enough if you know it is coming. I've worked here in every season and every condition. I know when to move fast and when to be patient.
My work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times, Over The Moon, and Magnolia Rouge. I've been named one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.

"JL shot our wedding at Shoreditch House and he treated it like it was the most important day of his year too. He found corners of that building we had never noticed. Every single photo is exactly us."
